[sims] SIMS Change School Name and DFE Creds Blanked Out

Hi,

 

We are just changing the SIMS school details, and we have come across an issue. The 'school name' and relevant settings are blanked out - consequently meaning we cannot change the details. This is pretty urgent, and I thought that I would come on here to see if anybody knew any solutions such as patches etc.

I think you have to contact capita for a exe that allows you to change these settings. Not 100% as I haven't done it before but seem to remember being told this.

I have recently done this there are 2 patches to apply...

School Name Change Patch (No. 15913). This will enable access to the name change utility as per the attached guidance notes.

Please Note – If the School name or DfE number are changed, all school history will be changed to the new school details. Pupil History will show the school name as the newly changed school name and not the previous name.

 

It is strongly suggested that following the name change, the attached patch no 16300 is applied, which will remove the name change routes in SIMS to ensure that the name is not changed again in error.

 

As with all patches, please ensure that a full backup is taken before applying and that nobody else is logged into SIMS when applying.

No. You need to get them from Capita/local support unit (la) otherwise you invalid your support agreement
