TechSupp Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 The school is thinking about getting a 3d printer for some small projects, does anyone have any experience of one and some good suggestions of ones worth buying? Also as they are looking at doing some modelling in the short term they are thinking of getting the models done externally until they get a printer. Anyone know of anyone who does a service like that and what kind of costs are involved?
MrFrostmaul Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 MakerBot Replicator Mini (MakerBot | 3D Printers | 3D Printing) is a good quality small one that is market entry but does the job. We just purchased one for our DT department and they are loving it already. 1
TechSupp Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 Thanks for that, good having a recommendation.
plexer Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 For the outsourcing you could look at someone like https://www.3dprint-uk.co.uk/ I just googled 3d printing service I guess you may struggle to find one that takes a PO for ordering though? Makerbot is probably going to be the go to machine for your needs in the UK. Ben 1
