Hap remove the directedit slider for all users

After upgrading to 10.5 my students and staff get the directedit slider to turn it on and off this did not show in v10 core.

 

I would like to disable this for all users as it is a feature i would like to impliment later.

DirectEdit was added in v10.2.

I cleared all temp files etc but it still shows when i select a shared drive

 

Can you think of anything else i need to do.

Also add display: none; to the directedit entry at the top of that file as well

Not sure what i did wrong as the on off slider was displayed all the time when using my files.

Tried that first one and doesn't work for me either it seems.

 

To do a quick work around for now I've just commented out this line:

 

 

In the myFiles Default.aspx file, so it removes the shortcut to it from the Menu Assuming this shouldn't cause any issues? Will have a proper look at it

i once back on Tuesday.

the feature works but to get staff to download it is a step too far .
