I've got this weird issue where the internet doesn't work for Windows 7 machines. Tried wired, wireless, domain machine and stand alone - all with the same result. Full network connectivity, no internet.

My machine on Windows 8.1 is fine. Servers are fine. My virtual 8.1 is fine, my virtual 7 is not.

HOWEVER - my virtual 7 machine (KMS server) on the server is WORKING. The only difference is that this machines doesn't have office installed... (I'm sure there are some other things that could be at play here).

I've opened a call with BT Lancs, but thought I would shout here too because it is a really weird issue.

Turned out the default gateway had reverted back to an old address. I don't think the engineer saved the config when they changed it a few months ago.

Any machine which had a 43 address got internet, but if it had a 42 address it didn't.

They've changed it back to 42 and now all is well :D
