SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - Cambridge ( URGENT )

£30,000 - £32,000 - excellent benefits package, free lunches and possible overseas travel.

Full time position - 37½ hour week with 6 weeks annual leave (plus bank holidays).

 

 

Our client, a highly respected school in Cambridge with an exceptional Ofsted report and approximately 1,100 pupils have an urgent requirement for a Senior Development Officer, to work with the Director of Development as part of the Alumni & Development team.

 

You will work closely with the Alumni, current and past parents, former governors and former staff including teachers and operational staff within the school and as the senior member of the team, you will be focusing on a number of specific fundraising channels (i.e. face-to-face, Annual Fund and legacy giving), plus assisting with the School’s fundraising strategies.

 

Your other duties will include :

Managing an agreed portfolio of prospects by identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors in the UK and controlling all aspects of the Annual Fund.

 

Supporting the legacy fundraising program, including management of routine mailings, appropriate cultivation and stewardship of individual legacy prospects and donors.

 

Attending various events and representing the School to promote and enhance its reputation (including possible oversea travel).

Working closely with the Charities Co-Ordinator, to run the Sixth Form Charities Committee and supporting the Development Director in day-to-day management of the team.

 

Any knowledge using Raiser’s Edge is highly desirable as is any experience of developing and implementing new donor engagement intiatives and a track record in fundraising.
