Lakeside Hammers Speedway Thurrock

[CAM]

Last home fixture of the season is on the 21st of August at Arena Essex Raceway in Thurrock, just over the Dartford Crossing next to the M25. I've been a long-time fan of the club but it could be their last ever race due to the Thames Gateway Project causing the stadium to be sold, so no secure tenure for next year.

So if you live in London and have never seen speedway before, come down and watch before it vanishes from the capital entirely! Fingers crossed it doesn't though, it will be a nervous off-season for Hammers supporters like me as I don't want to see another club die after being present for Wimbledon's demise!
