iPad supervison

Quick question,

 

I go to a lot of schools, a lot of which have iPads, but they won't want to splash out on a Mac to initially set them up.

 

What I want to know is, can I buy one Mac and use that to manage multiple schools via Apple Configurator? And would it be possible to keep them all seperate, wouldn't like them all combined as it'd confuse matters.

Been looking at something similar despite my loathing for ipads at the moment.

 

I think you can use the Device Enrollement Program and Meraki MDM which will effectively supervise them without the mac I think. We've done the Meraki MDM bit but see that you can still remove the profile if your in the know so the DEP is the next bit to look at in September. I might be wrong, but someone else might be able to point in the right direction.

In theory yes but it'd be easier to keep them all separate as you may have VPP tokens and app purchase for multiple schools getting mixed up. Why not use Meraki MDM or something similar once the initial configuration is done?

 

Already using Meraki, but the idea of a Mac for silent installs and initial config would make life a lot easier!
