Using the Google Sites API

Hi, is anyone currently using the Google Sites API?

 

I've got to grips with the Calendar and Groups APIs using PHP with service accounts but the Sites API seems to be in an almost deprecated state.

 

Any pointers to the library requirements (is this Zend gData?) and/or code examples for authenticating and making a simple request would be greatly appreciated

 

Preferably using PHP but anything would be good.

Answering my own post but...

 

Just in case anyone finds this through a search - Google Apps Script worked a treat to programmatically create the bones of a Google Site.
