lmrogers Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Hi everyone, We have an issue with our Mac server, when profile manager is trying to push settings out to the client it is stuck on pending. The clients can communicate with the server, imaging the clients from the server works and all necessary ports are open. This was working at some point in the past but has since stopped. Any help would be great, thanks.
slancaster Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 quite a common problem. Anyone else experiencing this? We have quite random behaviour.. some profiles / settings push nice and quick, others stick and take ages or not at all. Latest server version apparently addresses similar issues, but I've not seen an improvement.
manick Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Sorry, the reason I asked was that we were having proxy issues last week that caused us problems and wondered if you might have the same issue. Manick
slancaster Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Just found something that has helped... we have been using auto proxy discovery (networksetup -setproxyautodiscovery Ethernet on) which picks up proxy auth on login via kerberos. When the profiles refused to push out to a client, I logged in as a network user and realised that Safari would not load any sites, but Chrome would. Disabling the auto discover (networksetup -setproxyautodiscovery Ethernet off) allowed the profiles to install quickly and without failure. So... my questions are - how are people getting proxy authentication to work?
