[sims] Designing Reports problem

Don't know why but last couple of days when creating a new report the results are being displayed strange.

 

just want forename, surname & ethnicity.

However when Ethnicity comes out instead of it filling one cell in excel, its filling a cell for each word. For instance,"information not yet obtained" is filling four cells. Normally this would have just populated once cell as its that child's ethnicity.

 

anybody got any ideas?

The only thing that comes to mind is if the output is really delimited, e.g. csv style but tab delimited, or Excel is 'seeing' those spaces.

Try another new report with other data that would be multi valued and see how Excel treats it. Just thinking what has spaces, a report with tutor name maybe...

Thanks Vikpaw, it turns out it was just SIMS being silly and its now rectified itself.....
