SMART Notebook 11.4 suddenly very slow to open

Hi all, first post here but been trying to find an answer to this for hours - this place seemed like it's full of experts! Apologies if this is in the wrong area.

 

I have SMART Notebook 11.4 installed on my Windows XP machine at home. In the last week, it has suddenly become extremely slow to open any Notebook files. This doesn't matter if I'm creating a new file or opening an existing one - it takes up to 10 minutes to open. During this time, all other applications are unusable and my CPU usage spikes up to around 60% for this time.

 

As I'm sure you can imagine, this makes using Notebook extremely frustrating!

 

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

 

I had the idea to roll back to an older version but can't find anything online to do this other than some dubious looking ones!

Meant to say - my PC is fairly old but all other programs run fine still.
