Google Apps for student use

We are currently using Google Apps at our school...

 

We are thinking of rolling out gmail for students.

 

Any Advice?

 

Is there a way of 'Email' monitoring?

As someone who works in several primary schools - I'd like to know if there is also away to prevent external mail getting to student emails addresses?

 

We don't currently configure student emails for this reason - however it would be greatly beneficial for students to be able to email each other internally for good practice.

You can change the setting so that students can only email within your organisation (domain).

Admin Console > Apps > Google Apps > Settings for Gmail > Advanced Settings.

 

Choose your group and scroll down to Compliance. Here you can select "Restrict Delivery" so the group can only email within the organization.
