FN-GM Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Hi For the life of me I cannot remember where this option is but how do you allow to surf the net & have a VPN connection. Its bugging me!!!! Thanks Z
mrcrazy04 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 There's an option deep within the config options for the VPN connection to not route internet traffic through the VPN if that's what you mean. I only have access to my laptop at the minute which is running Vista (and has decided it doesn't want to play VPN this evening!), but you should find it if you look for it - I think it refers to gateways.
Netwacky87 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I did it once but never found the option again, What i tend to do is install another browser say Firefox or opera and configure it to use your schools proxy.
m25man Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 You are looking for the "Use default gateway on remote network" option. if checked all of your non local packets will be routed through the remote gateway (your local grid) if unchecked all your non local packets will be routed through your local gateway allowing you to surf and vpn. It can be found in the advanced options of the IP V4 properties tab in your VPN connection.
