Ruckus help needed - can you view last time a device was connected?

Hi

 

We have had an iPad go missing.

 

We know it went on the 19th May around 15:00 (Don't ask why so long ago) but i wanted to see if it was possible to see which AP's it connected to.

 

We have a ZD3000

 

Any help would be great thanks

You'd need to know the MAC address for it.

 

 

If you go to "Monitor", then "All events/activities" you should be able to search for the MAC and see when it has been connecting. Or where it was last connected, at least.

I had a look there but it only seems to record events for today no further back

Hello, i've just had quick word with one of our WLAN techs. The approach that @X-13 has listed is the right one. The problem you will get is the 3000 box won't store historical logs, unless these are being backed up elsewhere on your network.

 

In terms of Ruckus there's very little you can do to track the missing iPad down at this point, sorry.

Beyond your ruckus, you'll need the iPad registered to a central Apple ID and find my iDevice switched on. Or if you have multiple iPads with multiple Apple IDs, then you need to be using Prey to track it (again switched on)

Or, if you're using absolute MDM to manage your iDevices, set a profile that gives the device open access to the net and force a quiet update, details on their site… [emoji3]
