Library server upgrade Oliver

Hi

 

We need to upgrade our library server os from server 2003 to 2012 including biostore. I had a quote for £1900 to transfer sql and move biostore and oliver to a new server. This seems very expensive and just seeing if anybody has moved biostore and oliver to a new server and what is involved.

I have moved Biostore before very easy to do, take it its just the secondary server? Not touched Oliver so cant comment but but it surely cant be difficult if its SQL based? and that price does seem very excessive.

Primary should be straight forward if you have the install files just remember to get a copy of your licence files from the existing primary, let me know if you want to give it a crack may have some guides lying around.
