Admissions software

Hi all, not sure where to put this..

 

I currently work at a faith school and we use spreadsheets to monitor our applications. The spreadsheet is starting to become more complex and we are being asked for more data etc. Long story short, does anyone in a faith or independent school use a software package which can be tailored to their needs to manage admissions?

Yes, have got SIMS here.

Yes. We take in data from the LA by exporting this from their spreadsheet and we also add our own admissions which come directly to us. Maybe there is something we can do in SIMS but we don't have a Data Manager at present. We are recruiting though.

You may get more viewers if this thread was in the MIS systems subforum, however - the process in SIMS isn't all that complicated.

 

Step 1. obtain CTFs of all potential applicants.

Step 2. import as new applicants

Step 3. SIMS can now do all kinds of clever stuff for you!

 

Note: even if you can't obtain the CTFs you can still manually create the applicants - but can't think of a way of importing them from a spreadsheet.
