Groups not receiving internal emails?

Hey Guys,

 

Bit of a strange one so I have all staff members added to a group in Google Apps called Staff Email Group. The group then gets given the email [email protected]. So when I send an email to [email protected] is goes to all members of staff in the group. Though when someone external to our organisation sends to [email protected] it isn't received and the person gets a bounce back email saying it could not be delivered?

 

Though if a person sends a email external to the building to a particular user such as [email protected] it comes through fine?

 

I'm guessing it's a permission issue somewhere but I can't find a way to sort it!

Sorry I put internal emails but I meant to say external emails in the title

I think you need to set your group to public so that people outside your domain can email that group.

 

Find your group in the console and click access settings > Permissions > Basic Permissions > Post by default I think it's set to internal members only. Though I wouldn't personally want to open my groups to external people especially if all staff are included.
