Photos wont print via Papercut using Windows photo printing wizard.

 

Scenario:

 

Sharp MX-XXXX MFP's

Server 2012 virtual Print server & Papercut (up to date)

Windows 7 Pro clients

Latest drivers on the print server & clients

 

This is affecting most users....

 

Printing e.g. photo's 4-Up via the Windows print wizard - Photos begin to print but only print a centimeter of each photo.

 

All other documents print fine. 9-Up and Contact sheets print fine. Looks like just 2-Up and 4-Up are affected.

 

If I USB connect a laptop to the MFP it will print fine - same driver.

 

If I use the print driver to configure it to print 4-Up... it works fine.

 

Our reseller tells me it a problem with the Windows print wizard (seems to be) but I can print to a laser printer of another brand no problem with the same wizard.

 

 

 

Any idea's cuz I'm properly stuck ???

Is your print server set to render the jobs on the client computer or on the server?

I worked this out in the end.

 

1. Driver was latest generic Sharp driver - Installed the latest drivers for each machine ...... still didn't work

 

2. Changed the virtual print queue driver to the latest driver for the highest MFD model .... Bingo !!!!

 

 

Still funny it wasn't affecting ALL the users though.
