Will_Townsend Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 We are looking for a technician to work for 6-9 months on a SIMS SOLUS 3 Migration Project across 200 schools all within Central London, mostly office based but with some travel locally, all on public transport. Any technical knowledge of SIMS, particularly SOLUS 3, would be desirable but is not essential as we can train them up on this aspect. We are looking for an ICT engineer with general windows infrastructure knowledge, networking, server 2008/2012, dns, ad, tcp/ip etc but what is absolutely essential are good communication and organisational skills as the project will involve a lot of liaison with schools and 3rd-party IT support providers in a complex rollout. We are ideally looking for someone with schools/colleges/academies experience, possibly network management level or senior engineer level, at least 2nd line/2nd tier Interview w/b 15th June with a view to them starting w/b 19th June. Please submit your interest to [email protected]
ravens Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Like many of you I built the SIMS server from scratch and actually got SOLUS 3 working on it. I'm very tempted, sounds like fun. 1
enjay Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Interview w/b 15th June with a view to them starting w/b 19th June. Do you mean those dates?? 19th June is a Friday, and only 4 days after interview date... Edited May 28, 2015 by enjay 1
Will_Townsend Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 Yes I did mean those dates as we are really looking for someone who is a contractor already (or anyone suitable with imminent availability). Unfortunately due to holidays in the team we cannot interview any earlier and the project does need to kick off asap afterwards to get underway in time for the first tranch of schools to be done before the sims summer upgrade There may be some flexibility but we probably can't wait for a month, the client may need this person to stay on afterwards or go perm but there are no guarantees
Will_Townsend Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 ***bump***** need to interview and start immediately
zag Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I'm available over the summer for 6 weeks but not any longer, also live near London.
