Job Title IT Engineer

Salary £22000 – £29000 Per Annum + associated benefits

Location Suffolk – Ipswich

 

Job Description

IT Engineer : working with a local company based near Ipswich who have an exciting opportunity for an IT Engineer to join their team. The company is highly customer focused delivering IT support to businesses and are currently expanding their technical department. The IT Engineer will be confident and motivated to use their initiative and trouble shooting skills working onsite, remotely and via the telephone.

 

The main responsibilities of the IT Engineer will be:

* Provide technical support for desktop/user issues i.e. email, Internet, routers, switches, printers, software.

* Install new hardware and software.

* Application support i.e. AV, MS Office.

* Perform Server migrations and support.

* Work to tight deadlines and complete tasks to meet expectations.

* Working with the rest of the team providing efficient, effective solutions to issues.

* Providing a high level of customer service-focused support.

Ideally, you will have experience in a customer facing IT support role working with networks, windows servers and desktops. Also, the successful candidate will have:

* Experience of working in a similar technical support position.

* Excellent telephone manner and customer-facing skills.

* Understanding of networking design, hardware and cabling.

* Experience with a wide range of Microsoft products. (Certifications a distinct advantage)

* Reliable and good communicator building relationships with clients.

* Team player, willing to go the extra mile for colleagues and customers.
