googlemad Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 My Mum's laptop has a really strange issue and I can't figure out what is causing it! Scanned the system with Malwarebytes and no malware found, the system appears to operate normally for Internet browsing etc but the System properties are blank! Plus a few other applets such as User Accounts
kmount Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Weird one Couple of quick things I'd try: 1) Create a new user account and see if it suffers too. (if not, it's a profile thing) 2) Try the old system file checker - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
googlemad Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Same under another user account / safe mode! I did a sfc and it claimed to find some corrupt files but couldn't repair them so that's a lot of use!

googlemad Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 No I never fixed it, mainly because she hasn't complained about anything as such so I left her be for my own sanity I'll just whack on Windows 10 when that comes out at the end of July! Thanks for all your help
