FTP query

I'm having problems using any FTP client, in that connection fails informing that the client could not connect to the server.

 

I've tested working from ftplive, however struggling using an FTP client.

 

I've disabled the firewall on the client, this proved unsuccessful.

 

Can anyone help?!

Yes, look at the next step in your route to the server you are attempting to connect to.

 

Which might be:

 

If the server is an internal host then look at its firewall configuration.

 

If the server is external then look at the configuration of your internal -> external firewall.

 

What is the next step in your route to the FTP server?

External firewall, for which the LEA strenuously deny has any involvement... Needless to say the matter is back in their hands.
