yhttech Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I'm attempting to set up a new, HP e-Print enabled wireless printer to work with our 25 new chromebooks. I've set up the printer on my WLAN, established an e-Print account and shared it in my Google management console. I can see the printer as available when on the chromebook, however the print job never gets sent or prints. The interesting part is I tried to print to it on my workstation from Google docs, and the job creates and it does print. Any ideas on where to start looking for the issue?
Bev Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I have a similiar problem, it will work from the workstation as it detects the locally connected printer, but I can't get anything to print from the chromebooks. Interestingly, I'm sure I did have the chromebooks printing last year but all the printers now show as offline at all times and nothing prints. I think it's a firewall issue, but I haven't been able to resolve it. https://support.google.com/cloudprint/answer/6140513?hl=en
mjk Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Sometimes ours go offline, but it is/was a papercut issue and restarting the print spooler fixes it. Sounds like you are printing directly.
