Nova-T6/sims PM registration problems.

Our current timetable model is as follows

 

Period 1: 8.30-9.30 This is linked to our AM attendance mark

Period 2: 9.30 - 10.30

Break

Tutor time: 10.50 - 11.10 This currently contains our PM attendance mark

Period 3: 11.10 - 12.10

Lunch

Period 4: 12.40 - 13.40

Period 5: 13.40 - 14.40

 

As you can see our PM attendance mark is not after 12.00 and therefore needs to move.

 

We do not want to change the structure of our school day but we need to move the PM attendance mark to be linked with period 4. this is possible in sims as you have two choices: link the attendance mark to a lesson or place it before a period (we currently have it set as linked to period 1 and before period 3)

 

If I change the system to be linked to period 1 and linked to period 4 then our AM and PM attendance marks will be collected in the correct places but it removes the opportunity to have a separate registration period (there will be no register to take)

 

essentially I need to link AM and PM attendance marks to periods 1 and 4 respectively but also have a separate tutor time mark.

 

Any suggestions or has anyone faced this problem and found a solution before?
