Moodle SSO to Google Apps

We have been used Moodle SSO for several years now and it has worked great.

 

The only down side was that people wanting to use mobile devices had to use non SSO username/password (ie native Gapps account) combination on mobile devices.

 

Since Lollipop and latest iOS update this has stopped working and we can get get past SSO web sign on for non admin users. It would appear that we now need to use https://simplesamlphp.org/ or similar within Moodle.

 

Has anyone else come across this issue and found a work around? I am thinking of going to an AD synch and password synch and removing the SSO.

Yes and eventually we decided to force a password reset and sync everyone's GAFE account passwords.

It ended up fixing a lot of problems that we had with ios devices too. I would recommend doing this.

SSO with ADFS is another option. It's something i'll be looking into before long.

Having Moodle do the SSO is far too problematic these days.
