blu4 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Hello, I've recently set up a WDS server and the answer files for a fully unattended installation. There is a problem however, I can't seem to get the AD naming right. I right click on the WDS server, go to properties, then to the AD DS tab and fill out the domain naming right? I want laptops to be named as followed: Very01 Very02 Very03 etc. I use this format: Very%01# It doesn't work. Am I missing something? When deploying it gives it a weird name like PC1238AWDAD.mydomain.local Thanks for the help.

amudamai Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 try replacing with %MACHINENAME% so it uses the pre-staged name if this doesn't work you might need to set unsecurejoin to true on the unattend file
