elsiegee40 Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) Schools: get your pupils involved in a nationwide survey about apps and mobile devices. Leading e-safety charity Childnet wants to hear from young people about how they use their mobile devices and is inviting schools across the UK to get involved! The survey for 11-18s is exploring how young people use mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to download and buy apps, and to make in-app purchases. There have been a number of news stories about young people accidentally running up huge bills when inadvertently making in-app purchases, and Childnet wants to find out from young people how common this is. The survey is running alongside a new category in the Childnet Film Competition, in collaboration with PhoneBrain, which invites young people aged 11-18 to create a short film to raise awareness about hidden costs when using mobile devices. There are also two more categories for primary and secondary age pupils, with the deadline for submissions on 12 June 2015. Take the survey The survey for 11-18 year olds has just 8 questions and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. The deadline for completion is 12 June 2015.
