ful56_uk Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Morning All, We are all signed up with 365 for a while now. We have adfs setup and working too. We currently have setup a hybrid setup on our local exchange server which is 2010. We want to start looking at moving all of our mailboxes over to 365 so they can use onedrive and email. We will not licence them for lync, I have a couple questions. 1, Is there anything anyone would recommend that we turn off/disable feature before we move users over? 2, After the migration has been completed, is it a case of uninstall exchange? 3, is there anything anyone recommend us doing in terms of management of 365 Many thanks Mark
ful56_uk Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 Would anyone be able to share there thoughts on 365 about features to turn off/disable and setting to introduce or any advice before mass deployment please. Mark
ellsandell Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Have a search, plenty of threads regarding deployment etc. Exchange - Decommission Exchange Server after Migration - Attributes? | Directory integration services | Microsoft Office 365 Community I think the issue you might have when using Dirsync atleast, is that uninstalling Exchange will remove the extra attributes in AD (related to proxyaddresses etc).
ful56_uk Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 I've seen the bit about group creation but I only could seem to do it for all
