Strange mapped drive issue

Hey Everyone,

 

I have a strange problem occurring with one of the laptops. It only seems to be occurring with this one user but the mapped drives and the home drive is loading awfully slowly, the computer seems to disconnect intermittently from wifi and then reconnects itself again and Sims seems to have issues and sometimes won't log her in yet other times it will.

I've tried the following:

Update wifi driver

Update Chipset driver

Give it a static IP address via DHCP reservation

 

It seems that when it is offline away from the network it's super quick, and very responsive. What do you guys reckon?

I know it's a pretty simple one, but have you tried connecting it to the network via a cable? As it could just be the built in wifi is bust? Or if you have another laptop of the same make/model etc. swap the Wifi cards over see if that works, then you know you have faulty wifi
