Stuart-Hannah Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Morning All, Got a small problem with sites within Dreamweaver CS5 and I am wondering if someone can help. Basically all our student use a super mandatory profile, and every time Dreamweaver launches they have to set the site back up every time. I have created a generic site within my account and exported it from the registry however every time I try to run it as a logon script for students it doesn't work, and I can only assume it's due to them not being able to write to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Any ideas, Regards, Stuart
Boredguy Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 You can define the location via Group Policy. Specifically in the Registry section of the Preferences. For our Dreamweaver 2004 install (yes I know it's very old!), we have a registry update entry for Hkey_Current_User\Software\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX 2004\Site Selection\Last Site Selected, Hkey_Current_User\Software\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX 2004\Settings\LastDirectory set to a specific folder in their network user area (we also create the folder via the same GPO) I would imagine you can do the same with CS5
ass17 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I wrote a monitoring program that specific keys in a config file located within the current user keys are exported at logo off or shutdown to their home folder on the network. When they login the keys are injected back in. And so on....
