Office 365 Portal help!!

Hi Guys,

 

Can anyone tell me how can i find out how many staff or pupils actually download Office 2013 Pro plus free from Microsoft 365 email account?

 

is there a way to check it on Office 365 admin portal?

In Office 365 go to the Admin page. Then go to Users > Active Users

 

In the drop-down menu choose ‘New view’ from the bottom.

 

Name the view “Staff with Office”. Then lower down under the box for “assigned license” choose the one called “Office 365 Education for Faculty” (not the one mentioning E1 or anything).

 

Go to save at the bottom and it will return you to the users view. From the dropdown menu choose the new view you have just created

That will only show those who have the license assigned, rather than staff\students who have actually downloaded it and used it.

 

Not aware of anyway to see the actual uptake of O365 ProPlus I don't think.

The method above is only going to be semi accurate if you are allowing users to self-enroll for office (rather than assigning the software license to them yourself). As far as I know there isn't an Admin way to show who has downloaded what and how many copies of their 5 limit they've used up.

 

Each user can view their own software installs though. Once they are logged in to O365, click on the Office 365 logo at the top left (or go to portal.office.com/home) and then click the link to install software. It will show how many devices (with a name/description) they have already put it on.
