Our school have organised for Staff, Students & Parents to take part in a 3 Peaks Challenge over a weekend in June.

3 Peaks, if anyone doesn’t know, involves hiking to the peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden all in a weekend or 24hrs if you are totally crazy.

I have never done anything like this before but thought I would put my name forward as a proper challenge for myself to get fit and do something worthwhile. I'm doing the weekend NOT the 24 hours!!!

The school is raising money for computer equipment and 25% of the funds will be going to a charity called Asthma UK.

I have started my training by going for hikes in the Chiltern Hills but its an uphill struggle!:getmecoat:

If anyone feels the inclination to make a donation it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks to @VeryPC_Colin_M who has already made a donation.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I've done the 3 peaks.. Just not all in a 24 hour period! :p

Ben Nevis & Scafell are hard going (Scafell is uphill from the word Go! and Ben Nevis isn't much better especially once you get to the Zig-Zags)

Make sure you do train and that you have good boots, waterproofs, warm clothes and food (Kendal Mint Cake FTW!)

Good luck :)

Yeh - Its slowly dawning on me how tough its going to be. Its too late to back out now!!

I have the boots - I bought a pair of Asolo boots when they were on sale. Been breaking them in for the last few weeks. Also did a big shop in "Go Outdoors" when they had their Easter sale on.
