The Slow Room - Workstation Performance

One of our IT suites has started seeing performance dips at certain times of the day, the machines were rebuilt at the end of summer, so I wouldn't expect the slowness to come from the machines, yet loading a Word document, browsing the internet becomes a tad tedious..obviously it's related to amount of people on elsewhere, but no other room seems to be affected as much as this one...

 

Does anyone have/know of any monitoring tools to see if there's a bottleneck along the line somewhere or why we're experiencing these issues.

If you have managed switches with SNMP support, you can use something like Cacti to monitor traffic loads on switches.
