Folder redirection from Server A to Server B

Hi,

 

Some might of seen my recent thread about moving to a new file server recently.

 

I am currently doing a phased move from SERVER A to SERVER B.

 

Server A is our domain controller that was also used as the file server for staff. (Inherited)

 

Server B is a virtual file server (2012R2)

 

I have a group policy that I am moving staff into which applies the folder redirection policy great, and copies there existing documents over to the new server (Super)

 

However I have come across a couple where;

 

The laptop applies the folder redirection policy (According to event viewer) perfectly fine. However the documents still point to Server A!

 

However if i log the user into another machine, then the documents are pointing to Server B!!

 

So why is it not applying to the new area? Is there a group policy that i am missing somewhere?

 

Any help is appreciated.

After searching my own problem, It appears i had to run this command;

 

gpupdate /Target:User /Force /Logoff

 

This then forced the users group policy to update and it worked.!
