You can pickup used 5510's and 5520's on ebay for £25-55 depending on if it's the 24 port or 48 port version. I've just got myself a 5510-24T for £30 via eBay for my home lab. For a layer 3 switch that was still being sold by Avaya until earlier this year that's pretty damm cheap! :D

@Soulfish .... Hell yeah that sounds good! Will keep my eyes open!

 

I have never seen one cheap enough on that popular auction site that everyone talks about.... 24 port would be ideal. Again its for lab purposes and also part production too. Gigabit on every port handy too.

 

Solid switches, Id quite happily have them in production, easy to configure and last forever!

 

I'll have to keep my eyes open!

No dates as such but the console shows the following:

 

FW = 5.0.0.2 and SW = 5.0.0.011

 

One switch has FW 5.0.0.4.
