_Rick_ Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) Hi, I'm Rick, quite a normal guy that is very interested in he's pc, especially CMD. I was just messing around a bit, and I wanted to remotely shutdown my laptop. I have a PC, and a laptop, so I figured it wouldn't do any harm to anyone. Now I basicly did everything to remote shutdown the laptop. (Using cmd : net view > shutdown -i > added the laptop. But it said \\BillyThaKid-LT: Acces denied. (5) And that was quite annoying. I tried alot of things to fix this, but I just don't have the knowledge of my pc(yet), or whatever the problem could be, to fix it. Could anyone assist? Thanks Edited April 13, 2015 by _Rick_
plexer Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Hi Rick, You must not have the required privileges over the other machine in order to be able to shut it down and this is not something we will assist you in attempting to, please don't insult us by pleading that the machines are yours and that you have permission to do this etc.... Thanks. Ben 1
