Remote Desktop Access to a Windows 200 Server

Need to access my 2000 Server from an XP PC... how is this done as I downloaded this but can't seem to get it to work..

As the allow remote connections tab is not where it is in XP or Server 2003

Yep. It''s simply a case of installing the terminal services on W2k, setting it to admin mode and turning it on.

You're right, there is no tab in 2000, however you might be able to use the same registry tweak as explained here for XP/2003.

You can also enable Remote Desktop via Group Policy too as explained here 2000/XP/2003

 

This is also possible in 2008 R2, but Microsoft being Microsoft have changed some GPOs around. The principle is the same however.
