2 Nics, 2 networks

Apologies for the lazy post, looking for clarification really.

 

We have a DVR setup on network 1. We need to access it from a computer in network 2. Easily done with a second nic I know, But is there a way to ensure all traffic goes though one nic ( bar the traffic directly to the DVR). Would removing the GW on nic 2 do it?

Can you not setup VLAN's on your physical network to remove the need to have an actual separate network ?

 

If not, i would configure the static routing in Windows to point the traffic destined for network1 to use NIC1 as its gateway, and network2 - NIC2.
