It can send and receive emails from anyone fine, but when it comes to our onsite exchange it will just not accept any mail! O365 will send mail to exchange and that works fine, but when we send from exchange to office 365 it doesn't work. Anyone have any words of much needed advice?
themightymrp Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 This is to do with O365 connectors I'm sure. Go to exchange admin (on office 365), then Mail Flow --> Connectors. What have you got for inbound and outbound?

I assume you have some kind of hybrid deployment with some mailboxes on Exchange server but others stored on O365? kidpressingbuttons Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 we are about to go through a migration, but we are only migrating our admin staff and the teaching staff are going to have new mailboxes. We are going to set up a forward rule to forward any mail coming in to the new system until the box is switched off in the summer!

Do you have an internal DNS server with your external Domain Name? If so, add the MX record required. Do you have a hybrid configuration?
kidpressingbuttons Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 dragging this back up. I have added the external IP address to office 365 allowed IP list- but I am still not receiving any email from my exchange server in office 365. Feel like im going round in circles now- help!
