Meraki and Smoothwall

Hi All

 

We are currently trialling Meraki WiFi and so far are very impressed with the performance.

 

We are now trying to set up the Meraki system to use our Smoothwall filtering as a transparent proxy for a guest WiFi.

 

Not sure where to start with this set up, has anyone already done this with these two solutions.

I don't currently have a dedicated system but rather a guest account that uses the BYOD radius. What I would like to try out is the Meraki Guest WiFi access built into the APs and using that to do the filtering. Maybe that is something you could explore.

Create a new SSID for guests and apply the Captive portal to that, guests are free to make their own accounts and you can assign "Guest Ambassadors" to authenticate their accounts the Meraki APs can then act as the DHCP server too and you can use the built in filtering.
