New Projector for bright hall

[manick]

Hi All,

Can anybody recommend a projector with the following spec:

5500+ Lumens

Must be black

Ability to project around a 4M x 2.50M image from 2.60M

Doesn't cost an absolute fortune (this is open to interpretation!!)

Is anybody using anything or can recommend anything?

I have a contractor to fit it so am not open to other fitters I'm afraid.

Many thanks

Nick

PW9620 with a short-throw lens, would fill that screen from 3.2m. Thats 6700ansi but I normally think it's better to go brighter initially to compensate for loss of brightness over time. That's a 0.80 throw ratio, ideally you need a 0.65 throw ratio to achieve 2.6m.

Whatever brand you go for you are going to need a specialist short-throw lens. Cost will be in the several thousands. Request a price from a supplier rather than go off the on-line pricing as normally the on-line price wont be competitive on these low volume items.
