We have an old Roland CM-24 connected to a Windows 7 machine via a USB-Parallel converter. We know that it used to work, and I believe the only thing I require is a driver for the actual cable. Joyfully there is no brand on the cable itself. Any thoughts on how I might find a driver, is there a universal one?

Thanks in advance.

There is none. Only thing I've found is that people advise using the GX-24, which I think it used to run off. But it isn't playing friendly now... I've even spoken to Roland support, and their official line is, no, it should not work at all.

Finally got there. I had to find the PL-2305 driver and force device manager to look at it to pick up the cable. Then I was able to put the GX-24 driver on and it worked fine. Seems so simple at the end!
