Upgrading our Samsung LFDs

Hi all

 

We have finally decided that we are spending way too much time trying to constantly fix our Samsung LFD display boards. Its time for an upgrade to something better, however I have no idea where to start. The ones we currently have run XP embedded and have about 2 gb of space and that's excluding the OS.

 

The idea of Magicinfo was great, however its very fiddly and takes ages to config what you need.

 

So if anyone has some suggestions on where to start looking that would be great, ideally alternatives to Samsung and Magicinfo.

 

We were also thinking of maybe putting a small form factor machine or a Raspberry Pi onto it and just using the display part of the screen, but not sure what's out there without the hardware support.

 

Any idea would be very much appreciated.
