HTCPCP Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 We have a slightly strange one here. We have just installed a dual monitor through a Sapphire Radeon R5 230 card. When we connect up 2 identical displays, the 2nd display isn't picked up properly, however when we connect a different display it works fine. Reconnect the first display, and there is no issue for a few hours, then if the machine locks, or a user logs off and logs back on the display goes back to the unrecognised device with a resolution of 640x480. Both monitors are set up through DVI, we have tried different drivers and any setting in Catalyst that might seem to affect it. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
DavetheITguy Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Check your bios, your integrated card maybe causing the issue, I have 3 screens connected to my computer I had this issue, the problem was solved via bios. Hope this helps.
win Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Have you tried using a different DVI splitter, or changing to VGA?
HTCPCP Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Card only has 2 DVI ports on it. @DavetheITguy - the integrated graphics have been disabled in the bios and both connected to the graphics card. Using 2 different monitors (more annoyingly a 22" and the 24" that I was trying to get rid of works together)
