newpersn Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) Our Data Manager has a brother HL-4140CN which has done around 30K pages so far, Its now started playing up. (Paper curling and jamming). What colour laser would you guys recommend? Must have a good price tag with cheapish toners (or ink carts) Edited March 5, 2015 by elsiegee40
tekins Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 We love the HP Officejet Pro X range, our Head's PA has this and loves it. HP Officejet Pro X576dw Multifunction Printer - Ebuyer 1
newpersn Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 I was looking at the lower model. HP Officejet Pro X451dw Wireless Inkjet Printer - Ebuyer
tekins Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Equally as good (just a bit slower) We have 4 of these and not a single problem with them, you can get compatible inks, but we tend to stick to originals at least until the printer is out of warranty. 1

Whats the print out like? Does it feel ink jetty? (if thats even a word?!?!)
tekins Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Very much ink jetty! it's an inkjet, but no complaints about print quality at all.
newpersn Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 I think i might but the X451 forward i think.
w-clarke101 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 The IT index are doing Kyocera-6026CDN for £245 and about £60 par toner. 1
ZeroHour Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I bought one of these: HP LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw Colour Multifunction Printer Its not particularly cheap which I know you really want but I was sick of inkjets and wanted similar features you do. It scans to a UNC share and works well with android and iOS devices too. Cost per page isnt the cheapest but unless you are doing tons all the time it hopefully wont be too off putting and inkjet gets expensive if the cartridges dry out before being used. 1

Thanks for that. it will get used all the time. i didnt want the old 2025dn look alike as they packed up after 3 years. Also with the ADF on top aswell should be good. I
DaveGoodman Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) The latest HP Pro X range produces the most cost effective print in the marketplace but should you enter the HP Supplies Programme you can get Original HP Supplies, a fully managed support programme and automated supplies for cheaper than you can buy non genuine toners. Running cost are 0.2 pence for mono and approximately 2.9 pence for colour inclusive of all of the above. This worked out as a saving of over 50% on my original toner supplies and I got a support contract as well It is the most ethical and cleanest contract I have ever seen. I used Kanban MPS as my HP reseller. Edited March 23, 2015 by elsiegee40
