guisemg Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Students have been getting onto their local user folder by going into Libraries and clicking on the drop down arrow on the left side of the address bar in Windows Explorer which shows the Desktop and its links which includes the local user folder. After some research this seems to be because there is a link on the Desktop even though the link is hidden within the personalize options in control panel, I have also tried to delete it and I click yes but it just stays there. Is there a way of removing the link from the desktop completely or is there a way of blocking access to the user folder for each user if this cannot be done?
fiza Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Do a search on Edugeek -its been discussed many times with different solutions proposed.
fiza Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 is this any use? http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-server-2008-r2/140628-remove-libraries-gpo.html
