RM Ecoquiet 2 PSU Issues

Hello! I work in a school with a fair few RM Ecoquiet 2's. Since working here, when they have come in for repair I have updated the motherboard, processor and RAM. On the odd occasion, after updating them we have had issues with them crashing or blue screening. Upon reading the booklet thoroughly for the new motherboards (ASUS P8H61-MX USB) it states that the PSU in the machines needs to be a minimum o 350W. The PSU in the machines as standard (Seasonic SS-300SFD) is only 300W. I have since bought new PSU's with very little luck. The issue I have had with new PSU's is that the power lead connector is a lot lower on the new ones and will not fit in the mount on the RM Ecoquiet.

 

Has anyone had this issue before? I can find some that look alright, but for £60 a go I can not really afford it.

Can you not cut/modify the case a little to get the power lead to line up ?

Alternatively there is a Seasonic SS-350SFD, maybe try one of those ?
