Printer Down Reporting

Hello,

The senior management team are wanting us to provide capability to display an error message to users if the selected printer is offline due to maintenance.

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with any software which could do this?

 

In example:

1) Resources Colour MFP is in an error state for some reason

2) Staff prints to Resources Colour MFP

3) Software informs user that the printer is in an error state and cancels their job

 

Any ideas?

We have PCounter but this doesn't seem to do exactly what we'd like.
