AlfaTech Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I can't get the New 3DS... I just can't do away with my Limited Edition Red Pokemon Y 3DS XL, and don't want 3 3DSes. I know I haven't owned it long but I'm also thinking of selling my WiiU as it's only collecting dust, maybe I'll wait for the next Zelda game to come out first but then again I'm losing interest in Ninty.

I did want halo mcc for xbox one but that was such a disaster i doubt now i will ever buy it and between that and the sheer amount of dlc games on teh xbox seem to "require" i think ive decided to stuff them and wait for the goty editions which have the dlc and cost less im fed up of been treated like a cash cow Edited February 25, 2015 by sted

Now i admit ive bought it in the past when forza horrizons 2 came out i bought the download "and all the stuff" version (so about £70) and have since coughed up another £5 for the not included storm island dlc and while i played it a lot when it first came out (for the first time in years played it on release day till 2-3 am) and played the storm island expansion a bit when it first came out it wasnt worth the additional cost over the game esp when i think i could but the game and most if not all dlc for the cost of the game alone at launch

Person B: Oh, you need X, Y and Z DLC. It explains everything. If you're going to make something with a story, the entire story should be included. Not just parts of it.

Not just parts of it. cant disagree with that or at least make the initial phase cheap as a sort of demo to get you into the later phases
CAM Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Premium currency is the one that annoys me. Buy this small cosmetic item for 200 shards. Shards sold in batches of 150 for £3.00 or 250 for £5.00. Or buy 10000 for £80.00! The items are always between the currency pricing brackets so you are forced to buy more than needed and end up with leftover stuff so you top it up again just to use it up on something else. The currency also further masks the real cost of the item. Worth noting Nintendo are guilty of this (though instead of a premium currency they use direct pricing on their store where you buy £5.00 credit to buy games that are £3.50, never being able to just charge the exact cost to your card).

Judging by what others have said they find the xl too big but conversely I find the non xl too small

Good fun! keep debating majoras mask but ive never been as big a fan of 3d zelda as 2d zelda. Currently restarted windwaker hd on my wiiu as i just got to a point on my previous save file that i had no idea what i was supposed to be doing and gave up

I'll likely pick up a pokemon game for time killing and give Monster Hunter a try (gf has this). Console comes with Smash Bros which should be good as I like the other ones.

Bravely Default if you like JRPGs. All the Zeldas are good as well.

Majora's Mask was one I'd thought about, haven't actually played that yet and I enjoyed Ocarina of Time when I played it some years ago on the N64 (I just looked and that was a lot longer ago than I remember it being). I've heard good things about Bravely Default and I do enjoy some JRPGs so I'll have a look at that.

Gives you some stuff in the main game. cool seems Nintendo wants all my money atm still debating getting splatoon for wii u as well and the next gba fire emblem on wii u vc as im almost at the end of the first one (though that's only £6ish

I'm not supporting that. yeah amibos do seem to be a total cash grab esp as in the uk all one type of amibo got pinched so even if you wanted you cant get 100% done and Nintendo said nope not making anymore. That said splatoon still does look fun (I cba online multiplayer games anymore its just so full of so many trolls it takes the fun out of it)

After putting in 110+ hours on it via my 3DS XL I can say it works great on the larger screen. Whatever you are playing on I highly recommend getting the CirclePadPro attachment that adds the right thumb-stick, it makes working the camera SO much easier.
