Blue_Cookeh Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Hi All, How do you guys go about configuring and ordering HP servers in Education? With Dell we have a Premier account I can just log into, configure a server and ship it across to our account manager but I'm not finding anything like this in the horrible mess of HP's website... Unfortunately Dell left a very sour taste in our mouths after the last batch of laptops we ordered. I'd go to our usual IT suppliers straight away but I like the whole "done configuring? here's your price" bit! Thanks

jamesfed Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Humm try this one - Public SCE HP and their silly URL design (queue someone posting about why they have h#####.hp.com in front of everything!) 1
Arthur Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Been looking for the same link recently so would like to check It's often easier to use Google than HPs atrocious website. http://a.pomf.se/evkihn.png 1

Blue_Cookeh Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Thanks all It's often easier to use Google than HPs atrocious website. http://a.pomf.se/evkihn.png ... shameless plug for me to Google in future...
Arthur Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) shameless plug for me to Google in future Not at all. If that was the case I would have simply posted a link to lmgtfy. As you have no doubt already found out, the search feature of HP's website is completely useless... http://a.pomf.se/uwmkjc.png Here's another good example. Search for "hp service pack for proliant" on HP's website, then Google. Click the first result and see what happens. HPs website looks alright at first... http://a.pomf.se/walayg.png ... but when you click the first result you will be taken to a 404 page. http://a.pomf.se/cbmnhp.jpg Perform the same search with Google and the first result will take you to a page on HP's website where you can actually download the software. http://a.pomf.se/unmhdl.png http://a.pomf.se/ziukro.png I am not sure where you got the impression I was belittling your searching skills or making a sarcastic remark. Perhaps I shouldn't have bothered with the smiley face? My intention was merely to point out just how bad HP's website really is (as @jamesfed knows). Edited February 22, 2015 by Arthur
